NOTICE OF INTENT - Sole Source Yale Key Lock Hardware for the Chilled Water Plant Replacement and Utility Upgrades Project at the VA West Haven Campus

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to require, on a sole source basis, a brand name requirement for the Yale key lock hardware in the Chilled Water Plant Replacement and Utility Upgrades Project at the VA West Haven Campus. The project will include new doors and their associated locking hardware, and the VA West Haven Medical Center requires the use of Yale Commercial Large Format locking cores to comply and integrate with the current system used throughout the medical center. The use of a single lock core enables the systematic management of the lock system by the Facility Engineering staff.
