The University of Missouri‑Kansas City’s School of Dentistry seeks qualified contractors to replace an existing 188‑ton air‑cooled chiller with a new 178‑ton unit (owner‑furnished) and to replace the primary chilled‑water pump with a new pump and variable‑frequency drive (VFD). The contractor will handle removal, installation, associated piping, electrical, controls, crane and rigging work in an occupied, restricted‑access facility, and provide any necessary control‑system modifications. The project has a $390,000 construction budget, a 3% SDVOB participation goal, and will be awarded after a pre‑qualification process scoring at least 800 points and meeting mandatory safety and performance criteria.
