WWTP Biosolids and Grit Storage Pad Upgrades

The City of Richmond is seeking bids from qualified firms for general contracting services related to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Biosolids and Grit Storage Pad Upgrade project. The project will entail demolition of existing systems and sewer lines, construction of new systems and lines, and installation of electrical service. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, superintendence, plant, power, light, heat, fuel, water, tools, appliances, equipment, supplies, and services necessary for the performance and completion of the work. The project is expected to take 535 consecutive calendar days to complete, and the contractor will be required to provide a bid bond and performance bond. Some key aspects of the project include: * Installation of erosion and sediment control measures and site security features * Demolition of existing underdrain system and construction of new Biosolids Storage Pad * Demolition of existing Grit Storage Pad and construction of new Grit Storage Pad * Installation of new electrical service for future lighting and solar panels * Cleanup and site restoration, including milling and paving of designated roadways
