Construction Manager At-Risk

The Kearney School District is seeking a construction manager at-risk to provide a full range of services during the planning, design, renovation, and construction of school facilities. The selected firm will work with the District and a design firm to provide preconstruction, budgeting, planning, schedule, and guaranteed maximum price services. The project will be contingent upon the successful passing of future Bond Initiatives and may include various buildings and site improvements at all district building locations and properties. Some key points to note are: • The District will retain a design firm to provide all architecturally related services. • The construction manager at-risk will be required to work with the District and design firm during the planning phase, construction document preparation, and the construction process. • The selection process will involve a two-step competitive process, with the first step being a request for qualifications and the second step being a request for proposals from shortlisted firms. • The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive technical defects. • The contract will be awarded to the firm that submits the best responsible proposal, and the decision regarding the acceptability of the proposal shall remain entirely with the District.
