Illinois Regional Site Readiness Program

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is issuing this Notice of Funding Opportunity to encourage infrastructure investments that will better prepare 150 acres of contiguous industrial property in Gallatin County for future industrial economic development projects. The grant will support site readiness infrastructure investments, such as land acquisition, infrastructure expenses, and site development expenses. The applicant must be a Special Unit of Government created for the purpose of maintaining ports and terminals, located in and serving Gallatin County, and own 150 acres of industrial land. The grant will be awarded on a reimbursement basis, and the grantee will be required to document and report milestones achieved and other relevant outcomes of the grant. Some key points to consider: • The grant program is utilizing state capital funds appropriated by the General Assembly. • The total amount of funding expected to be awarded through this NOFO is $56,000. • The grantee will be required to comply with all applicable provisions of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to nondiscrimination, sexual harassment, and equal employment opportunity. • The grantee will be required to submit periodic performance and financial reports to their assigned grant manager. • The grantee will be subject to fiscal and programmatic monitoring visits by the Department.
