Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to perform a five-year obstruction inspection of the sprinkler system at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for internal pipe assessments, valve inspections, FDC hydrostatic testing, hydrant flow testing, and replacement of sprinkler gauges. The work will be performed over a five-year period, with each year's services grouped together and billed as one "job". The contractor will be required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Performing internal inspections, obstruction investigations, and fire department connection hydrostatic tests
• Replacing sprinkler gauges in various buildings
• Providing full maintenance services, including adjustments, calibration, and tuning
• Submitting inspection reports to the VA Point of Contact within five business days after work completion
• Coordinating system shutdowns with the designated VA Point of Contact
• Ensuring all work is performed by properly qualified technicians
