Mowing Contract

The Queen Anne's County Government is seeking bids for a mowing contract to provide services consisting of grass mowing, trimming, hard-surface sweeping of mowing debris, spraying for weeds, some landscape bed maintenance, and tree & bush trimmings for various County properties. The contract will be for a period of three years, with a one-year renewal option. The bidder will be responsible for providing all equipment, fuel, lubricants, repairs, insurance, transportation, labor, etc. to accomplish the work specified. • The mowing season will begin on April 1st and end on October 31st. • The contractor will be required to mow all indicated turf areas, including hillsides and seasonally wet turf areas. • The contractor will be responsible for trimming around buildings, poles, fences, bulkheads, boardwalks, and edges and cracks of parking lots. • The contractor will be required to sweep or blow debris off the pavement, hard surfaces, walks, steps, and wooden decks adjacent to the mowing area. • The contractor will be required to provide equipment to perform all mowing and trimming operations. • The contractor will be required to have safety discharge chutes on all mowers.
