On-Call Road Grading Services

The Town of Nantucket is seeking qualified responders to submit bids for On-Call Road Grading Services. The successful bidder will provide on-call road grading services for the Town of Nantucket, Nantucket County, and the Nantucket Land Bank. The services will be at the discretion of the respective Department Heads based on the availability of funding and other priorities. The contract term is for three years, from December 2025 to November 2028. The bidder must provide hourly rates for various crew components, including laborers, skid steers, loaders, graders, vibratory rollers, and dump trucks. The bidder must also provide a markup percentage for materials. The Town of Nantucket reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received whenever such rejection or waiver is in its best interest. • The contractor must comply with all applicable safety regulations and guidelines during the road grading work. • The contractor must install, maintain, and move all necessary warning devices to ensure a safe work zone. • The contractor must provide certified payroll records with each invoice associated with the work completed during each on-call grading task. • The contractor must have been regularly and actively engaged in the on-call road grading business for a minimum of five years. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and a bid deposit of five percent of the amount of the base bid.
