Industry Outreach Event - Guajataca Dam Permanent Repair Project

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Latin America & Caribbean District, is hosting an Industry Outreach Event for the Guajataca Dam Permanent Repair Project in Puerto Rico. The event will discuss two separate potential contract actions, including the Guajataca Dam Early Work Effort and the Guajataca Dam Permanent Repair Project. The projects involve repair construction of several major features to address significant risks relating to the dam's stability and safety. The event will provide an opportunity for contractors to learn about the project scope, construction considerations, acquisition strategies, and contracting requirements. • The Guajataca Dam Early Work Effort includes utility relocations, administrative office building demolition and relocation, traffic report and detour route, and left abutment water supply siphon system. • The Guajataca Dam Permanent Repair Project involves repair construction of several major features to address significant risks relating to the dam's stability and safety. • The project magnitude is estimated to be between $20M and $50M for the early work effort and over $750M for the permanent repair project. • The USACE is seeking to engage with soil improvement and deep soil mixing contractors to address key project challenges.
