Description
The Navajo Nation is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing parking lot at the Shiprock Senior Center, perform associated site work, and execute a roadway widening per NMDOT 2019 specifications. The scope includes obtaining a water permit, developing a Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan, utility locate/marking, erosion control, safety planning, and final site cleanup with back‑slope stabilization. The contract is for one year, with work expected to begin after an August 31, 2026 Notice to Proceed.
• Demolition of ~0.6 acre parking lot, removal of pavement, concrete, and associated structures.
• Site preparation including geogrid installation, aggregate base placement (640 tons), asphalt removal (480 tons), concrete sidewalks, wheel‑stops, signage, and pavement markings.
• Required permits, SWPPP, utility coordination, QC/QA, safety plan, and post‑construction cleanup.
• Mandatory bonds (10 % bid bond, 100 % performance & payment bonds) and 6 % Navajo sales tax apply.
