Description
The City of Cumming, Georgia, is seeking competitive sealed proposals for the construction of the Dr. Bramblett Road and Goldmine Road Water Main Extensions project. The project involves the design and construction of new potable water mains to improve water system performance, fire flow, and distribution capacity. The work includes the installation of approximately 2,300-2,400 feet of new 16-inch water main along Dr. Bramblett Road and the replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing 3-inch water line with a new 8-inch water main on Goldmine Drive.
• The project requires bidders to provide a bid security instrument payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the total base bid.
• Performance and payment bonds will be required in the amount of 100% of the contract price.
• The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive formalities.
• Bids will be evaluated based on the bidder's responses to the requirements of the RFP, with a focus on pricing (80%) and bidder qualifications (20%).
