MOTCO Rail Curves Package 2

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Sacramento District is seeking bids for the removal and replacement of existing railroad curves at the Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) in Concord, California. The scope of work includes the reconstruction, replacement, or demolition of approximately 7500 linear feet of rail, including repairs or replacement of ties, rails, and other track hardware at multiple rail curves. The tracks will be constructed per standards in UFC 4-860-01FA and AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering. Key aspects of the project include: • Reconstruction or replacement of curves 6, 11, and 12 with curvature less than 12 degrees • Demolition of curves 4 and 5 • Optional repair by replacement of curve 19 with connection to a UPRR-owned mainline siding • Construction of tracks per standards in UFC 4-860-01FA and AREMA Manual for Railway Engineering
