The Department of Mental Health is seeking proposals to establish contracts with one or more entities to provide a crisis stabilization treatment program for children ages 5-12 experiencing an acute mental health crisis. The program aims to stabilize and transition children back to their home and community. Proposals must identify which scope the program will serve: a statewide 5-6 bed program or a regional program with no fewer than 2 beds. The contract period is 2 years with an option to renew for up to 3 additional years.
• The program must provide a physical setting that meets the requirements of the program and is accessible to children and their families.
• The program must offer clear daily structure and routines for children to participate in educational, therapeutic, and recreational activities.
• The program must provide clinical services, including initial assessment and diagnosis, individual and group therapies, and psychiatric assessment and management.
• The program must ensure that families are an integral part of treatment throughout the child's stay.
• The program must demonstrate how it will meet expected outcomes during placement and at discharge.
