Description

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) is seeking information from potential vendors for the procurement of an Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) reactor system. The system will be used for the growth of thin films on various substrates. The NRL is looking for a system that can provide uniform deposition on substrates of varying sizes, including wafers up to 150 mm in diameter. The system must be capable of operating in both thermal and plasma-enhanced ALD modes. The vendor must provide a system that meets the minimum technical requirements specified in the document, including a single hot-walled viscous flow reaction chamber, a gas delivery system, and a pumping system. The vendor must also provide training for NRL personnel on the use and maintenance of the system. Some key features of the system include: * A single hot-walled viscous flow reaction chamber * A gas delivery system with at least 8 heated precursor lines * A pumping system with a dry process vacuum pump * A load lock transfer system with a turbomolecular pump * A computer control system with a graphical user interface * A safety interlock system to prevent accidents The vendor must provide a detailed description of their proposed system, including its technical specifications and capabilities. The vendor must also provide information on their experience with similar systems and their ability to provide training and support.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The estimated budget for this opportunity is difficult to determine, as the document does not provide a specific budget or cost range. However, based on the complexity of the system and the requirements specified, it is likely that the budget will be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the system will require significant customization and will involve the procurement of specialized equipment and software. The budget may also depend on the level of training and support required by the NRL personnel. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include: * The complexity of the system and the level of customization required * The cost of the equipment and software required * The level of training and support required by the NRL personnel * The experience and reputation of the vendor
