The County of Sedgwick is seeking a qualified general contractor to fully renovate the kitchen of its adult detention facility in Wichita, Kansas. The scope includes demolition, ceiling and flooring replacement, HVAC and plumbing upgrades, electrical upgrades, and installation of a new food‑tray assembly line, with several optional alternates for stainless‑steel flooring, condensing‑unit replacement, and stainless‑steel paneling.
• Replace ceiling grid, install acoustic ceiling tiles, repaint, and install epoxy flooring.
• Upgrade mechanical systems: new HVAC units, pre‑heat coil for AHU‑15, replace/upsized AHU‑16, new exhaust ducts for conveyor dishwashers, and additional exhaust in pots‑and‑pans area.
• Update electrical: LED lighting, new receptacles for mobile heating cabinets, and install a 50‑amp, 3‑phase breaker on existing 277/480 V panel.
• Install a new food‑tray assembly line and related kitchen equipment; perform full demolition, patch‑and‑paint, and restoration of building elements.
• Optional alternates: stainless‑steel flooring, condensing‑unit replacement, and stainless‑steel wall paneling.
