GHAPS Fiber Structured Cabling

The Grand Haven Area Public Schools is seeking a vendor to provide fiber structured cabling at nine school buildings. The project includes the installation of 6-strand 10GbE single-mode armored/plenum fiber cables, data jacks, and other necessary components. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing all labor, supervision, tooling, and miscellaneous mounting hardware and consumables for the structured cabling system. The vendor must also provide a written guarantee/warranty covering the installed cabling system against defects in workmanship, components, and performance, and follow-on support after project completion for a period of three years. Some key points to consider: • The project is conditional upon receiving written notification of E-Rate funding approval from the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC). • The selected vendor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations. • The vendor must provide a detailed bill of materials, including manufacturer, part number, unit cost, and quantity for all proposed components and equipment. • The vendor must also provide a list of at least four references, one of which must be a school or school district, for similar work performed within the past three years.
