Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a small business set-aside for a Slide Stainer, brand name or equal to ELITech Aerospray Pro Slide. The stainer must have specific salient characteristics, including a loading capacity of 1-12 slides, a throughput of up to 540 slides per hour, and a weight of no more than 40 pounds. The contract will be for a period of 90 days. The successful offeror will be required to provide the stainer and related services to the VA Portland Medical Center.
• The stainer must be able to process 115 slides per hour and up to 288 slides per hour with an additional 30-slide carousel.
• The stainer must have a centrifuge rotor speed range of 100-2000 rpm and a programmable function to accommodate different intensities and test configurations.
• The stainer must have laboratory compliance with traceability features and must be able to operate on 120V AC.
• The stainer must have low maintenance requirements and a simple and time-efficient cleaning cycle.
• The stainer must be able to reduce labor costs and aid labs in lowering the cost per slide.
