Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking information on automated cell culture systems with integrated refrigeration. The system should be able to perform automated media exchange, feeding, sampling, washing, passaging, differentiation/maturation, and harvesting for mammalian adherent cell cultures. The system should also have a compact benchtop footprint, sterile liquid handling, and be compatible with standard CO₂ incubators. The NIH is looking for vendors who can provide a commercially available automated cell culture system that meets the specified requirements. • The system should be able to perform automated media exchange, feeding, sampling, washing, passaging, differentiation/maturation, and harvesting for mammalian adherent cell cultures. • The system should have a compact benchtop footprint and be compatible with standard CO₂ incubators. • The system should have sterile liquid handling and be compatible with commonly used laboratory consumables. • The system should have programmable, repeatable workflows with minimal operator intervention. • The system should have integrated refrigeration capable of storing at least four reagents within manufacturer-recommended temperature ranges.

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate because the document does not specify a budget or a payment amount. However, based on the complexity of the automated cell culture system and the fact that it is a medical instrument, the budget could be in the range of $100,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the system is a high-end medical instrument with advanced features and capabilities. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements of the NIH and the capabilities of the vendor.
