Intent to Sole Source

The US Army Corps of Engineers intends to modify an existing Single Award Task Order Contract (SATOC) to include additional dredging on a sole source basis. The SATOC was awarded to dredge the Maumee River and Maumee Bay, and the modification is needed to facilitate commercial navigation on the Maumee River and prevent potential groundings. The Government is seeking industry comments on the proposed method for accomplishing this work. • The SATOC was awarded on 28 May 2024, and the ordering period ends 27 May 2026. • The modification is deemed out of scope, and the Government is citing Federal Acquisition Regulations 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) and 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(B) to justify the sole source basis. • The additional dredging is needed to facilitate commercial navigation on the Maumee River and prevent potential groundings.
