2027 Airport Way & Elevated Roadway Construction

The City of Boise is seeking a qualified contractor to perform the first phase of reconstruction and rehabilitation of Airport Way at Boise Airport along with associated elevated roadway work. The scope includes demolition, concrete and asphalt removal, installation of PPC overlays, bridge‑deck repairs, sidewalk construction, traffic‑control installations, and a variety of pavement‑preserving coatings and seal‑coats. Work is to be performed under a formal bid process with electronic submission via JAGGAER, and includes substantial contingency allowances for change‑order work. The contract will run for 205 consecutive calendar days, beginning with a Notice to Proceed on April 1 2027. • Demolition, concrete removal, and bridge‑deck repairs (including cross‑beam block‑out, heated sidewalks, and new sidewalk construction). • Asphalt and pavement resurfacing using PPC overlay, Superpave plant‑mix, hot‑chip seal, rapid‑cure seal, HMWM resin, and anti‑slip coating. • Installation of temporary traffic‑control devices, floodlights, portable message signs, and other safety measures for phased work near airport terminals. • Required bid security of 5 % of the bid amount, performance and labor‑material bonds equal to 100 % of the contract, and strict insurance and licensing compliance.
