Medical Waste Disposal USP Atwater

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, United States Penitentiary, Atwater, is seeking a contractor to provide medical waste disposal services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting, recording, transporting, and disposing of biohazardous, pharmaceutical, and hazardous waste. The contract will be for a firm-fixed-price and will include a base year and four optional renewal years. The contractor must provide all labeled containers, manifesting, and final disposal certification as outlined in the Statement of Work. • The contractor must collect and dispose of medical waste, sharps, and pharmaceuticals in accordance with EPA Standards and California Department of Public Health regulations. • The contractor must provide empty, reusable, OSHA-compliant storage/transport containers with leak-proof lids. • The contractor must have a Biohazard Spill Kit to manage accidental releases during loading. • The contractor must provide a Certificate of Destruction/Treatment to the Health Services Department within 45 days of pickup.
