Description
The Snohomish County PUD is seeking a contractor to perform distribution and transmission line clearance work. The work includes pruning, cutting, treating, removing, clearing, and disposing of trees and brush under and along the PUD's transmission and distribution system. The contractor must have experience with similar contracts and must provide evidence of their ability to perform the work within the scheduled time limits. The contract requires the contractor to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The contractor must also provide a full-time qualified supervisor at the job site at all times when work is being performed.
Key aspects of the job include:
• Pruning and removing trees and brush to provide required clearances
• Performing reseeding work
• Using mechanized equipment for vegetation control
• Applying herbicides for stump treatment
• Disposing of slash and debris
• Coordinating with the PUD's Superintendent of Vegetation Management
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to environmental protection and worker safety
