Procurement for Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC), CHABOYA YARD ZERO‑EMISSION BUS (ZEB) CHARGING INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) for the Chaboya Yard Zero-Emission Bus (ZEB) Charging Infrastructure Project. The project aims to deliver a high-quality project within the established construction budget of $15,000,000 - $20,000,000 and meet the project delivery schedule for Stage 1 Construction Services. The CMGC will provide preconstruction services, including project management, coordination, and collaboration with the designer. The CMGC will also be responsible for construction services, including procurement of long-lead items and delivery of construction phase services. • The project involves the installation of medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, charging cabinets, and overhead pantograph dispensers. • The CMGC will work with VTA's Engineering & Program Delivery Division, VTA Operations Division, and the designer to foster an effective partnership. • The CMGC will provide expertise and experience in decision-making, constructability reviews, and value engineering. • The project has completed the Basis of Design report and 35% Preliminary Engineering drawing set, with selected components advancing to 65% PS&E. • The CMGC will collaborate with the designer to optimize the design documents and provide continuous value engineering.
