Affordable Housing Development and Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation

The County of Shasta is seeking qualified affordable housing developers to propose the use of Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) funds for the predevelopment, development, acquisition, rehabilitation, and preservation of affordable rental and ownership housing. The proposed projects should predominately serve residents earning up to 120 percent of Area Median Income (AMI). Responders must have site control for their proposed use of PLHA funds. The County has $1,222,199 in PLHA funds available for project Activity 2 Predevelopment. • The County is seeking proposals for affordable housing development and owner-occupied rehabilitation projects. • The proposed projects should serve residents earning up to 120 percent of AMI. • Responders must have site control for their proposed use of PLHA funds. • The County has $1,222,199 in PLHA funds available for project Activity 2 Predevelopment. • The proposed projects should meet the needs of a growing workforce in alignment with the purposes of PLHA. • The County will enter into a Contract with the selected Responder or Responders. • The Contract will be awarded to the Responder or Responders submitting the Proposal(s) deemed, by the County, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the County.
