Description

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is seeking specialized research and software development services to enhance advanced gravimetric and planetary modeling capabilities. The vendor will be required to provide supplies and services in four core areas: Planetary Modeling, Software Development & Optimization, Algorithm Development, and Exploratory Research. The contractor will develop high-fidelity, variable-resolution planetary models, integrate and optimize NGA-provided analytic continuation code, research and implement memory-efficient computational techniques, and collaborate with NGA Subject Matter Experts to evaluate and investigate new mathematical, modeling, and algorithmic techniques. • The contract will be for a base year with two option years. • The contractor will be required to provide firm-fixed-price proposals for the listed Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs). • The Government will evaluate proposals based on technical, past performance, and price factors. • The technical evaluation will assess the vendor's approach to gravitational field modeling, mathematical techniques, code development, and compute infrastructure. • The past performance evaluation will consider the vendor's recent and relevant experience on similar projects. • The price evaluation will assess the completeness and reasonableness of the proposed price.

Budget estimate

$1,000,000 – $5,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $1 million to $5 million, based on the scope of work and the fact that it is a firm-fixed-price contract. The actual budget will depend on the proposal submitted by the vendor and the evaluation by the Government. Factors that may influence the budget include the complexity of the work, the level of expertise required, and the resources needed to complete the project.
