Description

The City of Tampa is soliciting Automated Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and Asset Data Collection services, which include documenting the condition and location of facilities such as roads, sidewalks, signs, and markings. The collected information will be published on the City's geographic information platform (ArcGIS) and referenced for transportation project planning and right-of-way analysis. The contract will require the completion of the PCI Survey, and other services such as Sidewalk Segment Survey, Sidewalk Ramp Survey, and Sign Survey may be optional. The proposer must provide an overview of their company's mission and core competencies, attach resumes for key personnel, and provide a list of relevant vehicles and equipment. The proposer must also identify any pending lawsuits, past litigation relevant to the subject matter of this RFP, and provide a statement of any litigation or pending lawsuits that have been filed against the company in the last five years. Some key points to consider: • The City of Tampa maintains a paved road system with approximately 1,300 centerline miles and lane miles not exceeding 2,800. • The City will provide ArcGIS files for assets to be surveyed and publish an online GIS image of the existing roadway system. • The contract will require the completion of the PCI Survey, and other services such as Sidewalk Segment Survey, Sidewalk Ramp Survey, and Sign Survey may be optional. • The proposer must provide an Asset Collection Work Plan, a Data Dictionary, and a Data Quality Management Plan. • The proposer must also provide a list of no more than twenty (20) projects, preferably completed in the last five (5) years, to indicate proficiency in similar work.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, based on the scope of work and the fact that it's a surveying and mapping services contract, a rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contract will require a significant amount of data collection, analysis, and reporting, and that the contractor will need to have specialized equipment and personnel to complete the work. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the number of assets to be surveyed, and the level of detail required in the data collection and reporting.
