Description
The Navajo Nation Division of Transportation is seeking a qualified contractor to demolish the existing parking lot at the Shiprock Senior Center and perform associated site work, including utility coordination, erosion control, quality‑control documentation, and final site cleanup. The scope follows 2019 NMDOT Standard Specifications, requires a water permit, and mandates submission of safety, QC, and erosion‑control plans. The contract is for one year with a 6 % Navajo sales tax applicable to all performance within the Navajo Nation.
• Demolition of a 0.6‑acre parking lot, removal of existing pavement and structures, and disposal of debris.
• Required services: mobilization, surveying, geogrid installation, riprap placement, aggregate base grading, asphalt paving, concrete pads, wheel stops, signage, and pavement markings.
• Mandatory documentation: bid bond (10 % of bid price), performance and payment bonds (100 % of contract amount), proof of Navajo business certification, insurance, and detailed safety/QC plans.
