Design-Build Construction at CBP

This Request for Information (RFI) is for design-build construction services to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The scope of work includes design and construction of new facilities, renovations, building system upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and facility maintenance and repair projects. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, management, tools, supplies, equipment, and transportation to perform the design and construction services. The contract will have a period of performance of five years, consisting of one base year and four one-year option periods. Key aspects of the project include: • Design and construction of various projects, including new facilities, renovations, and upgrades • Compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations • Maximizing sustainability, compliance with environmental standards, and adaptability to evolving infrastructure requirements • Providing all necessary labor, management, tools, supplies, equipment, and transportation • Ensuring adequate technical, supervisory, and administrative personnel are available to guarantee performance of work • Coordinating design, engineering, and construction disciplines to fulfill contract requirements • Providing for a complete, integrated, and functional design • Ensuring professional quality, code compliance, technical accuracy, and coordination of all designs, drawings, specifications, reports, and other documents
