Description
The City of Wilmington is seeking a qualified contractor to perform comprehensive improvements to the asphalt trail loop in Greenfield Park. The work includes milling and resurfacing the trail, remediating tree roots, grading disturbed areas, and restoring vegetation, while providing traffic control and safety measures throughout the project.
• Mill and place a new 2‑inch asphalt surface course on approximately 14 trail sections (≈ 70 cubic yards total).
• Perform tree‑root remediation, grading, seeding, fertilizing and mulching of disturbed zones.
• Supply and manage traffic‑control signage, detours, temporary lighting and watchmen as needed.
• Complete all work within 180 calendar days of the notice‑to‑proceed, with a $230 per day liquidated‑damage clause for delays.
