The State of Illinois, Department of Human Services, is seeking a Medical Director for the Alton Mental Health Center. The Medical Director will provide medical leadership and oversight of psychiatric services, supervise medical staff, and develop policies and procedures. The selected candidate will work 40 hours per week at $300 per hour. The contract is for a 90-day term, from March 9, 2026, to June 6, 2026. • The Medical Director must have a Board Certified Illinois Physician and Surgeon License with a specialty in Psychiatry. • The Medical Director will be required to provide medical leadership and oversight of psychiatric services. • The Medical Director will supervise medical staff and maintain overall quality of clinical care. • The Medical Director will develop and implement policies and procedures.
