The County of Ulster is seeking a developer to design and build a photovoltaic (PV) and/or battery energy storage system (BESS) on a 57.3-acre county-owned property in the Town of New Paltz, NY. The site, known as Paradies Lane, is a former apple orchard with legacy contaminants and is part of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Brownfield Cleanup Program. The County's priorities for the project include increasing renewable energy production, redeveloping brownfield sites, and generating renewable electricity to offset energy consumption.
