Design-Build Services for a Hydrogen Fueling Station

The City of Pasadena is seeking a qualified design-build contractor to design, build, operate, and maintain a new stand-alone hydrogen fueling station. The station will use delivered liquid hydrogen as the primary storage medium and will support the City's planned fleet of fuel cell electric buses. The project includes preparation and submission of Conditional Use Permit documents, preparation of final design documents, procurement of equipment, construction, commissioning, safety training, and operations and maintenance for three years. The project is funded in part by the California Energy Commission's Clean Transportation Program and the California State Transportation Agency's Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program grants. • The project requires a design-build contractor with experience in designing and constructing hydrogen fueling stations. • The contractor must demonstrate a collaborative mindset to achieve optimal value within the City's project budget and required schedule. • The project includes a single-phased delivery process and will award a Stipulated Sum Design-Build Contract. • The contractor must comply with the City's ordinances and regulations regarding equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance and bonding. • The contractor must submit a price proposal that includes all costs associated with the technical proposal.
