2026 Old Monroe Bridge Demolition RFP

The Lincoln County Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the demolition, removal, and disposal of an existing 540-foot steel truss bridge structure, including all associated substructures, appurtenances, and site restoration. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage laws, certified payroll, and insurance requirements. The contractor will be responsible for submitting weekly/bi-weekly payroll records to the project manager and building and installing a sign showing all Federal, State, and local labor laws on site. • The project has 5 key milestones with specific payment schedules: mobilization of at least 50% of equipment, demolition and removal of decking materials, demolition and removal of steel truss system, demolition and removal of foundations, and final completion of the project. • The contractor must provide a bid bond of 5% of the bid total. • The contractor must comply with all Lincoln County requirements regarding prevailing wage, certified payroll, and insurance. • The contractor must name Lincoln County as an additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis for Commercial General Liability and Auto Liability.
