GMCS Elevator Modernization Project

The GMCS Elevator Modernization Project is a design-build project that involves the modernization of elevators in the Geology, Math, and Computer Science (GMCS) building at San Diego State University. The project includes the design and construction of the elevator modernization, with a maximum cost of $575,000. The project is expected to start in May 2026 and be completed within 88 calendar days. The successful proposer will be responsible for designing and building the project, and presenting the completed project to the University for approval and acceptance. • The project requires a pre-proposal virtual meeting and a site visit. • The proposer must submit a technical proposal and a cost proposal. • The technical proposal must include a technical proposal summary statement, personnel experience, project schedule, electrical narrative, and fire and life safety narrative. • The cost proposal must include a firm, fixed-price basis and must be submitted on the cost proposal form provided by the University. • The University reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or minor irregularity in any proposal.
