Description
The State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide preventive maintenance and repair services for 23 overhead doors located at the MDOT/SHA shop in Wicomico County, Salisbury, MD. The contract is a fixed‑price, 36‑month award and will include semi‑annual preventive maintenance visits, on‑call repair work with a 4‑day response time, trip charges, man‑lift usage, and parts/materials. Bidders must have at least two years of experience, own equipment and staff, be fully insured, and be registered with the State of Maryland. The award will go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
• 23 overhead doors to be serviced twice per year (6 total service visits over 3 years)
• Preventive maintenance includes inspection, lubrication, adjustment, and detailed reporting
• Repair work must be initiated within 4 business days of a call; hourly labor rates apply plus “not‑to‑exceed” quotations
• Additional line items: daily trip charge, man‑lift day rate, and retail‑priced parts
• Contract value is a lump‑sum for preventive services plus hourly/labor rates for repairs; no fuel surcharges allowed
• Required certifications: 2 + years experience, own staff/equipment, SDAT registration, insurance (CGL $1M/$2M, WC $1M, auto/truck coverage)
