Auditing Services for Special Districts

The County of Inyo is seeking a certified public accounting firm to audit the financial statements of independent special districts within the county. The audit services are to be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and the Minimum Audit Requirements and Reporting Guidelines for California Special Auditors. The selected auditor will be required to complete various tasks, including auditing basic financial statements, expressing an opinion on the financial statements, testing internal control, and preparing a report to the board of directors. • The contract is for a period of approximately 36 months, from November 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028. • The auditor will be required to audit the financial statements for the years ended June 30, 2024, June 30, 2025, June 30, 2026, and June 30, 2027. • The county reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any minor informality in any proposal. • The evaluation process will include a review of the proposals, an evaluation rubric, and possibly oral interviews.
