Middlesex County is soliciting qualified TransitTech vendors to operate, manage, and expand its existing Ride‑On‑Demand (RoD) micro‑transit service in New Brunswick, NJ. The contract is a firm‑fixed‑price, turnkey solution that includes software platform, vehicle operations, driver staffing, fare collection, public‑engagement, and data reporting. The selected vendor will implement a phased five‑mile service‑area expansion, develop a public‑engagement strategy, create interlocal agreements with regional partners, and pilot a mobility hub at Perth Amboy Magnet Schools. The base term is 12 months beginning January 1 2027, with two optional extensions (an additional 12‑month renewal and a month‑to‑month extension) for a maximum of 48 months, contingent on funding. Proposals must be submitted electronically by November 17 2026, 11:00 am. The award is expected around mid‑December 2026, with service commencement on January 1 2027. The County requires compliance with state procurement rules, DBE reporting (no DBE goal), insurance, and prompt‑payment discounts.
