Description
The St. Johns River Water Management District is seeking bids from qualified Suppliers to supply approximately 4,100 tons of road base material to refurbish roadways within the River Lakes Conservation Area for a total of approximately 2.5 miles. The District will provide the trucking. The objective of this work is for vendors to supply road base material to the District. The Supplier shall provide road base material (exclusive of trucking), with certified weight tickets. The material should generally meet Florida Department of Transportation Specifications for road base material but does not need to be FDOT certified.
* The road base material shall not exceed 15% moisture content at the time loading.
* Loads exceeding 15% moisture content shall not be accepted.
* Road base material shall have minimum Limerock Bearing Ratio (LBR) of 100.
* Road base material shall meet the following general distribution guidelines for gradations.
The District reserves the right to inspect the material to ensure the quantity and quality meets the District’s minimum requirements prior to award.
