Description

The State of Missouri, through its Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s Missouri Schools for the Severely Disabled (MSSD), is seeking a qualified contractor to provide on‑site occupational therapy services at Boonslick School for the 2026‑2027 contract year. The contractor must supply licensed Missouri occupational therapists who will deliver direct and consultative therapy aligned with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP), work within school hours, and comply with extensive background‑check, licensing, insurance, and federal‑fund compliance requirements. Bids are to be submitted electronically via MissouriBUYS; vendors must be pre‑registered and meet strict eligibility criteria. The contract runs from August 1 2026 through July 31 2027 and may be terminated by the state with 30‑day notice. • Provide licensed occupational therapy services (direct & consultative) to approximately 625 MSSD students across the state, specifically at Boonslick School. • Services delivered on‑site during school days, 9:00 am‑3:00 pm, with no home‑bound or tele‑therapy options. • Must meet Missouri licensure (Chapter 324), Family Care Safety Registry, FBI fingerprint checks, and background‑screening requirements. • Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, insurance (general & professional liability) and maintain compliance with federal funding regulations. • Submit detailed pricing for therapy units; units are estimated but not guaranteed. • Mandatory registration in MissouriBUYS (Prospective/Spend Authorized status) before bid opening. • Questions due three days prior to bid deadline; all communications through Buyer David Percival.

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $600,000

The contract covers a full academic year of occupational therapy for a single school serving a subset of the 625 MSSD students. Assuming an average of 2 therapy hours per student per week, 40 weeks per year, at an estimated rate of $120‑$150 per hour, total labor costs could range from roughly $200,000 to $500,000. Additional costs for background‑check fees, insurance, travel, and administrative overhead may add 10‑20% to the base, keeping the overall contract value within the $200k‑$600k band.
