MCDOWELL ROAD: 83RD AVENUE TO 91ST AVENUE AND LOWER BUCKEYE ROAD DESIGN-BID-BUILD

The City of Phoenix is seeking a qualified contractor to provide construction services for the installation of approximately four miles of fiber and conduit infrastructure along McDowell Road from 83rd Avenue to 91st Avenue and along 91st Avenue from McDowell Road to Lower Buckeye Road. The project aims to connect to the existing City of Phoenix and City of Tolleson infrastructure and provide a reliable communication path for real-time traffic management capabilities. The scope of work includes installing new conduit and fiber, connecting to existing equipment at signalized intersections, and providing a dependable connection to Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) fiber. • The project will utilize federal funds and is subject to the requirements of 49 Code of Federal Regulations Part 26 and the U.S. Department of Transportation DBE Program. • The City of Phoenix intends to affirmatively ensure that disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids. • The project will provide infrastructure for the City of Phoenix to connect to the traffic signal at 91st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. • The project will also provide a dependable connection to Maricopa County fiber infrastructure and traffic signals.
