Little River Maintenance Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is seeking information from potential contractors for the maintenance dredging of the Little River Navigation Project in Kent County, DE. The project involves dredging approximately 80,000 cubic yards of sediment and placing the dredged material for marsh restoration. The work is expected to be completed within 240 calendar days. The estimated magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. • The project requires hydraulic cutterhead dredging to a depth of -5 feet MLLW (Datum) plus 1’ allowable overdepth. • Dredging will likely be limited to the period between 1 October and 1 March due to environmental restrictions. • The contractor must have experience in maintenance dredging and must provide information on their past projects, including project name, contract number, year completed, and dollar amount. • The contractor must also provide information on their bonding capacity and aggregate bonding capacity.
