Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking potential sources for the repair and refurbishment of water sand filtration media at the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for refurbishing and disinfecting the cooling towers sand media filter tank, and providing all necessary labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and qualified personnel. The scope of work includes vacuuming out existing sand/filter media, disposing of spent media, checking and verifying the underdrain, installing new media, and providing start-up and training of the system to VA employees.
* The contractor must have previous experience in maintaining and changing Vortisand filter media.
* The contractor must provide a certified Vortisand field technician to certify the work.
* The contractor must demonstrate having performed labor, start-up, and commissioning of these units.
* The contractor must take all precautions necessary to protect people and property from injury or damage during the performance of this contract.
* The contractor must maintain personal liability and property damage insurance prescribed by the laws of the Federal Government.
