Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide laboratory testing services for patient specimens that are urgent/emergent, highly specialized, and/or have limited viability. The contractor will be required to provide a range of testing services, including Mycobacteria Stains, Microbiology Specimens, Histology Testing, and Transplant Compatibility Testing. The contractor must have a current/valid CMS CLIA Certificate for High Complexity Testing and a current/valid Laboratory Accrediting Agency Certificate. The period of performance shall be 12 months from 04/01/2026 to 03/31/2027.
Some key requirements include:
• Providing laboratory testing services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Meeting turnaround times for STAT/emergent testing of 24 hours or less
• Providing specimen courier services
• Meeting performance measures based on acceptable turnaround times, test completion, and error rates
