ON-CALL FENCING, FABRICATION, AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES

The City of Chico is seeking bids from qualified fencing and fabricating contractors to provide on-call fencing, fabrication, and maintenance services. The contract period will be one year with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods. The contractor will be required to provide labor, equipment, materials, and performance of operation in connection with fencing construction, custom fabrication, on-site welding, large steel fence and barrier work, maintenance, repair, and related services for City facilities. • The scope of work includes fence reconstruction, new fencing projects, maintenance of existing fencing, custom fence and barrier fabrication, field welding and metalwork, and fabrication and installation of steel traffic safety barriers, guard rails, and security fences. • The contractor must have a current and valid California Contractor State Licensing Board (CSLB) C-13 Fencing license and C-23 Ornamental Metal license. • Payment of prevailing wages shall be required for any work performed under this contract when applicable under California law. • The contractor shall provide a safe, motivated, and skilled crew capable of efficiently performing fencing and fabrication/welding projects. • The contractor shall comply with all National, State, and Local codes and pay all applicable costs, fees, and permits. • The contractor shall respond to the City of Chico or its representatives within 24 hours of being notified and provide a quote for the work within 3 business days.
