Sources Sought for Laser System and Digital Laser Locking Device

The United States Naval Observatory is seeking information from qualified sources to provide a high-power, frequency-doubled laser system and a digital laser locking device. The laser system must meet specific requirements, including a wavelength centered around 423 nm, a linewidth of 10 kHz or less, and a mode-hop free tuning range of 15 GHz. The system must also include auto-tuning and auto-relocking features, as well as an electro-optic modulator. The laser locking system must be capable of locking to high finesse cavities or frequency combs and phase locking between lasers. • The laser system must use an amplified 846 nm source laser that frequency doubles to a wavelength centered around 423 nm. • The system must include optical isolation between the 846 nm source and subsequent amplifier and between the amplifier and the frequency doubler. • The system must include a pick-off to measure the wavelength of the source laser at 846 nm. • The system must be "turn-key" and able to achieve these specifications in a standard laboratory environment without user-supplied parts or assembly.
