Phase I Prequalification & Proposals for Design-Build Entities- Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building Renovation Project

The County of Nevada is requesting competitive proposals for Design-Build services to design, permit, and construct renovations to the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building. The project includes improvements to the shell, interiors, services, equipment, and furnishings, as well as site work. The Design-Build Entity will be responsible for designing, permitting, and constructing the project. The County requires the D-B Entity to identify and list certain organizations that will provide services on behalf of the D-B Entity, including a general contractor, architect, and subconsultants. • The project is funded by the California Strategic Growth Council's Community Resilience Centers Program. • The project aims to enhance community resilience by providing shelter and resources during extreme weather events and emergencies. • The project includes a two-story, 34,000 sf building that was constructed in 1932 and is categorized as a Risk Category III structure. • The building requires renovations to meet current building codes and standards. • The project requires compliance with prevailing wage laws and other applicable state or federal wage laws. • The County requires the D-B Entity to provide a cover letter, prequalification questionnaires, and other documentation as part of the proposal submission.
