RFP 902734 Alternative Dispute Resolution Services

The County of Alameda is seeking proposals from qualified private or public non-profit organizations to provide alternative dispute resolution services to residents of Alameda County. The services include mediation, conciliation, facilitation, and other dispute resolution processes. The goal is to reduce reliance on formal court proceedings and promote early intervention, community engagement, and equitable access to conflict resolution resources. The contractor will be required to provide accessible, culturally responsive, and effective alternative dispute resolution services, and to demonstrate the ability to publicize services and reach underserved and culturally diverse communities. • The contractor must have at least two years of experience in administering and operating dispute resolution programs. • The contractor must be a nonprofit organization and provide evidence of exemption from federal taxation under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). • The contractor must demonstrate the ability to provide flexible, personal, and less formal forums than court proceedings to resolve disputes. • The contractor must provide staff who are culturally competent in conducting the programs in culturally diverse communities. • The contractor must have clear processes for intake, service delivery, feedback, and follow-up components. • The contractor must have methods for self-monitoring and evaluation to assess the program's impact.
