The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a contractor to perform state route shoulder and median mowing, including litter/debris removal, in Davidson County. The contract will have a duration of one year, from March 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary equipment, tools, and labor to complete the work. The contract includes provisions for liquidated damages, performance guarantees, and payment terms. • The contractor must be pre-qualified by the Department of Transportation. • The contractor must provide a minimum of 5 mowers with a width of 60-90 inches. • The contractor must remove litter and debris from the right-of-way. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws and regulations. • The contractor must have a minimum of one NCDOT Certified Work Zone Supervisor. • The contractor must provide a performance guarantee in the form of a bond or retainage fee. • The contractor must comply with the moratoriums established in SL 2025-47 (SB 391) for calendar year 2026.
