Fitness Center Design and Equipment Upgrades

The City of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified vendor to develop a comprehensive improvement plan for 13 fitness centers across its recreation network. The plan should include the provision of new, commercially durable cardio and strength training equipment, the strategic repurposing of existing equipment deemed viable, and the responsible removal of equipment that has exceeded its useful life. The goal of this initiative is to revitalize the City's fitness rooms in a manner that is both economically and operationally efficient. Some key responsibilities of the vendor include: conducting a complete assessment of the current fitness equipment inventory, developing a detailed fitness equipment design proposal, supplying and installing new equipment, reallocating and installing repurposed equipment, and providing a comprehensive maintenance plan. • The vendor should have experience in designing and implementing fitness equipment improvement plans. • The vendor should be able to provide both leasing and purchase options for commercially durable cardio and strength equipment. • The vendor should have a comprehensive maintenance plan that includes preventative maintenance, repairs, and warranty services. • The vendor should be able to deliver on-site training for City staff on basic equipment functionality, user safety, and maintenance procedures. • The vendor should be able to participate in a public ribbon-cutting event celebrating the reopening of at least one of the renovated fitness centers.
