The Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding their capability to contribute to the advancement and development of spacecraft and payload/instrument guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) architectures, designs, algorithms, simulations, flight software implementations, performance validation, and on-orbit commissioning and operations. The scope of work includes systems engineering, design and analysis, hardware development and procurement, testing, and operational support across G&C disciplines for planetary, lunar, deep-space, Earth orbiting, and astrophysics missions.
Key aspects of the job include:
• GNC system design and development
• Simulation and testing
• Flight software code integration
• Operational support
• Facility and testing environment management
• Cleared personnel for security-sensitive tasks
The laboratory is looking for vendors with experience in GNC systems, preferably with a background in spaceflight missions. The ideal vendor should be able to provide a complete GNC subsystem engineering capability, but smaller businesses with specialized capabilities are also encouraged to respond.
